One Woodcutter went away daily from his village to
city to sell woods, then the earned money was used to fulfil his family’s
requirements.
One day a group of seventy robbers attacked on his village,
that time the Woodcutter had gone to city.
Robbers plundered whole village and the people who
protested against them, they killed them.
In evening when Woodcutter returned home; he saw, his
wife and son were dead.
An old man of the village told the entire incident
that took place. By listening that incident, Woodcutter’s body filled with
sorrow and anger.
Woodcutter loved his wife and son very much, so he
decided to take revenge from those robbers.
That night he followed those robbers and killed all
seventy robbers with his axe in that night. In this way, by killing them he
took his revenge.
Next day, discussion of his bravery became popular
everywhere. When king came to know that one common Woodcutter had himself
killed seventy robbers, so he called him in his court, gave him respect and
honour.
King said to Woodcutter- You have done such a
courageous work. Your chivalry is being discussed everywhere, so why don’t you
show the demonstration of your bravery. The more people you bite the dust, the
prize you will get in that multiple.
On order of King, one event was held in which Woodcutter
had to grapple with seventy people.
Crowd gathered; all were excited to see the power of Woodcutter.
Fight began, but what was it! Woodcutter couldn’t face
half of the people, so he quitted.
King asked- What happened now?
Woodcutter had no answer; then he made excuse of his
health and salvaged himself from shame.
King gave appropriate prize and dissuaded him.
After that, King asked his minister- Why Woodcutter couldn’t
face half of the people? His health was looking fine; I think that he had not
killed those robbers and only gleaning false appreciation.
Minister explained- Majesty! Woodcutter must have killed
those robbers but while killing them vengeance was riding on his head. He only
had to kill, in that adverse condition his strength increased but now he had to
fight only for prize, which had no importance for him; he has no family on which
he will spent money, so the prize money is worthless for him. He had lost his
family so he didn’t find suitable to take risk.
Dear friends, Sometimes in adverse situations,
capability of doing work increases very much; then the impossible looking work
seems to be easier, whether afterwards we are not able to do half of it. Remember,
in adverse conditions who encourages oneself only does something bigger in
their life. Thank You.
