Henry worked in an American company. He daily used to come on work, did
his work with full honesty and loyalty; Boss was also happy and satisfied by
his work and honesty.
One day, Henry without telling anything didn’t come on
work and for few days remained missing.
Boss thought that Henry would be tensed due to his
financial condition that’s why he was showing unconcern towards work.
By thinking this, Boss increased his salary so that Henry
could create interest in his work.
In the end of month when Henry got increased salary he
didn’t say anything, silently kept the money.
The Few months later, Henry again without telling
anything didn’t come on work. This time he remained missing for many more days.
This time Boss felt very bad, got tempered and thought-
What is the profit in increasing the salary when Henry is again missing without
telling!
By thinking this, Boss reduced the salary of Henry.
In the end of month when Henry got reduced salary then
this time also he was silent; whatever salary was given he kept silently.
By seeing this, Boss was very surprised and asked- When
I increased your salary you didn’t say anything and today when your salary is
reduced then also you are silent; what is the reason behind your silence?
Henry calmly replied- Oh lord! When first time I didn’t
come then my daughter was born, that time you increased my salary; so I thought,
God has sent share for fulfilment of my daughter. This time I didn’t come
because my father died; I thought, my father has taken his share with him. By
these two reasons, both times I remained quiet.
By seeing Henry’s positivity towards life, Boss felt so
good and again increased his salary.
