A Saint with Millions of Admirers

One famous saint was well known for his love and devotion towards God. He daily used to do meditation and gave knowledge to his admirers. He had many worldwide admirers and followers. Those admirers always remained ready to serve saint; so by their indestructible service, saint was living his life comfortably.

When saint died, his soul reached the door of Heaven where a Seraph was asking about detail description of good and bad deeds from dead people’s souls.

After much time, saint’s soul was called.

Seraph asked- You tell, what good works have you done in your life? Tell such works, which you will get virtue?

After listening Seraph, saint smilingly said- My whole life was spent in devotion towards God, I went to all pilgrims seven times.

Seraph told- You always used to speak about your pilgrimages in your sermon; by listening all that, your followers and admirers had made your life more comfortable and easy on Earth that’s why you will not get any virtue of that pilgrimages here, the virtue of that pilgrimages you have experienced on Earth; if done any other virtuous work then tell?

After listening to Seraph, saint deeply thought and said- I daily used to meditate and engrossed in devotion of God.

On this Seraph said- Your devoutness was one of facade which you used to show to your admirers. Whenever your followers surrounds, you started meditation, so you will not get any virtue for meditation.

After listening this, saint stood quietly bowed neck.

Seraph again asked- Tell any other good deeds, by which you could get Heaven?

Saint didn’t remember any work which he could tell, then he said- Millions of admirers worshipped me; always remained ready in my service.

Seraph said- Here all this is not noticed that who has many admirers or followers, here only the calculation of deeds is seen. You have not done any good work; by showy worship and meditation only made fool to millions of people, enjoyed your life with ease, so you’re liable to sin.

By saying this, Seraph gave him punishment for his hypocrisy to be a Saint.

Dear friends, Our regular work with full honesty and diligently are only our good deeds, while showy worship is not virtuous deed; stay away from those who do showy worship and hypocrisy, such people waste their time-energy with others also. Thank You.
