Dignified People

Faidyaan was a cleric and went to different places for spreading spiritual knowledge. He was religious and kind-hearted; he didn’t take any salary or wages in sake of his welfare work. Whosoever gave him according to his own interest, Faidyaan accepted those things according to ethical rules.

One day in any village, after representing congregation, he was sitting under a tree with his disciples, and then only one ayah came there.

Ayah introduced herself and by keeping one bowl, she requested cleric- Hey religious Man, I have brought delicious dishes which are made by me at home with great respect and love. Please accept these dishes which are especially for you.

Cleric calmly said- Generous Lady, I’m not hungry at this time. I have eaten food which was brought by my disciples just a moment back, so my stomach is full.

Cleric expressed in this way as he was surely not able to eat anything at that moment.

Ayah said- This time you have finished your food but next time I will inform you before coming, then you will have to accept my dishes.

Cleric agreed with a smile.

After departure of ayah, one disciple asked cleric- Ayah had brought those dishes with much love and respect, why didn’t you accept while you haven’t eaten anything else?

On this cleric explained- Dear son, your words are reasonable. Taking anything from gentle people like Ayah, Doctors, Nurses, teachers, etc. is against my self-respect. They help others like God, see the pain and problems of others, help them to remove their pain, and then they get their salary. I can’t accept anything from their earnings, they are dignified people.

In this way, cleric Fadiyaan taught their disciples to respect those people who are doing social welfare by some way.

Dear friends, There are so many people around us who work for welfare of society and then earn their livelihood. Those people help in reducing the pain and problem of others; respect them, they are worthy of respect. Thank You.
