Lion and Wall of Glass

Once an experiment performed by the staff of Colombo Zoo; they kept a lion in a large cage with a deer.

As expected, lion pounced immediately on the deer and by killing, ate it.

After that, Zoo staff placed a strong wall made of glass in the middle of the cage due to which the cage was divided into two halves. In the first half lion was kept and in the other half Deer.

As soon as the lion saw the deer, it quickly ran with its full agility to kill the deer but this time it bumped into the glass wall and stopped. It didn’t give up and again in small-small intervals it ran with its full power towards the deer and bumped into the glass wall.

On the other half, firstly deer was frightened very much but when it saw that despite repeated attempts lion couldn’t come towards it then the deer stayed comfortably.

The zoo staff gave meals to both lion and deer from outside of the cage but lion had desire to eat fresh deer, that’s why lion repeatedly ran towards deer and stopped by striking on the glass wall. After trying regularly for two days lion’s gameness was reducing.

Seeing reduced enthusiasm of lion, zoo staff placed a thin glass wall in place of the strong wall of glass. Lion tried to come towards deer twice-thrice a day but now its attacking speed was slow and sluggish; despite the thin glass wall lion was not able to cross it.

Lion only ate whatever meal was provided by the zoo staff from outside, it had now abandoned the thought of struggle to eat fresh deer.

Lion’s attacks were gradually closed. After some days, zoo staff placed a thin transparent curtain in place of the thin wall of glass but lion had left to pay attention towards deer; now lion didn’t do any effort to come towards deer.

After some days, zoo staff also removed the transparent curtain but lion wandered in half part of the cage and didn’t come towards deer.

Whoever came in zoo got thrilled by seeing lion and deer in the same cage.

When people asked zoo staff about this how it happened? Then zoo staff answered- Indeed, lion have left to try due to which it has quitted whereas there is no hurdle between the lion and the deer.

In this way, the pair of lion and deer remained entertaining for many days in that zoo.

Dear friends, A person who quits in front of difficulties doesn’t find success. Situation changes but the person who gives up doesn’t cross the easy situation also. Therefore, try and try until you achieve success. Thank You.
