This is the story of almost thousand years ago, the Emperor
of Nepal liked rabbits very much; he announced in
the kingdom- The painter who will paint live paintings of rabbits will be
future’s Courtier Painter and valuable award will be given to him.
Painters
came from different places with their gorgeous paintings of rabbits. All paintings
were represented in the court; the Emperor called kingdom’s oldest painter who
was also the present’s Courtier Painter.
The
old painter locked himself in a big room with the paintings; whole day after analysing
paintings, he said- No one’s painting is alive.
King
surprisingly asked- How can you say that?
The old
painter replied- I kept every painting one-by-one in front of rabbits but the
real rabbits didn’t recognize the painted rabbits; not a single rabbit came
close to those paintings that’s why these paintings can’t be alive.
Then Emperor
ordered old painter to paint the live paintings of rabbits; old painter requested
for the time of one years.
After
six months, the Emperor sent some of his soldiers in search of that old painter.
Soldiers saw that old painter was living in a hut with rabbits in the forest
and rabbits hovered throughout the day around him.
After
a year, when the paintings painted by the old painter were kept in front of real
rabbits then all rabbits were looming around those paintings,
as those paintings had live rabbits.
King
asked the secret behind the live paintings of rabbits, then old painter
answered- To create live paintings of rabbits I had to understand rabbits
clearly, then only I was able to paint the live paintings of rabbits. I came to
know what rabbit is, what its soul is! My lord, any work is successful only
when it is done by the conscience, this is the only secret behind these live
paintings of rabbits.
