An old lady came with her son in a famous temple of Kashi to worship God.
The temple was too crowded so she sat down at a corner and her son was standing
in the queue of devotees for own turn.
Then old lady saw a man who was asking something
to the devotees coming from another city, and by taking thousand rupees he took
them with him then brought back them in five to ten minutes. This process
continued for some time. Old lady was watching him carefully and had understood
his behaviour very nicely.
When the man saw the old lady, he understood that she
had also come from another city so he came near and asked- Have come for
worshipping God?
Old lady replied- Yes, but here is much crowd so my
son is standing in the queue of devotees.
Man immediately advised- This queue is for common
people. To enter in the temple there is also a special door which is opened for
special people. If you want then I can make you enter in the temple with your
son but it will cost thousand rupees.
Old lady asked- Will there be any special benefit to enter
in the temple to worship God through that special door?
Man answered- No, you wouldn’t get any special benefit
but you’ll get rest from standing in a long queue; will save time; is this
benefit less for you?
Old lady replied angrily- After coming here if one has
no time for worshipping God then it’s in vain for one’s being here. Well, I’ll
give you twenty five thousand rupees; if you bring God outside and let me get special
worship.
Man hesitatingly asked- How can God come outside?
Old lady answered- Why can’t come! If you can make
devotees enter through special door then from some another special door you can
bring God also outside. Ok, I’ll give you fifty thousand rupees but the
condition is that you have to bring God outside from temple.
Hearing this, the man got astonished and went away
with bowed neck. The nearby standing people had also been understood that there
is no benefit to worship God by entering through the special door.
Dear friends, Shouldn’t fall into the trap of those
who make fool to devotees in the name of God. For God all are equal. God gets
happy by true love and reverence, not by any special glimpse and worship.
