Thousand Saints

The Head office of Kerala’s ancient Monastery is situated in Haridwar. Abbacy of Kerala’s Monastery was growing old so he wanted that the Head office would send a saint in the form of Monastery’s Abbacy. He sent a letter to the head office- Please send a saint who is capable for taking all the responsibilities properly as Monastery’s Abbacy.

The Head Abbacy of Haridwar’s Monastery replied- I’m sending thousand saints. Who will reach first will be the Abbacy of Monastery.

Next day, thousand young saints had sent to Kerala. They didn’t know that who would reach first would be declared as an Abbacy of Kerala’s Monastery because the Abbacy of Haridwar’s Monastery said them only- Y’all go to kerala’s Monastery and staying there live your future life.

Going from Haridwar to Kerala just for living, it was a very light issue for all thousand saints so on the way whosoever saint’s home came they went their home by making excuses.

In ancient time, it took months to travel from Haridwar to Kerala. After a month, out of thousand saints only twenty were remained.

Remaining twenty saints were passing through a town; some people of the town came and told that their Hermitage’s Head had accidentally died. They requested to become Hermitage’s Head to one saint among twenty of them so one saint went along with them.

Walking some distance ahead, another town came where King’s messenger came and told– Today is the wedding of the Princes for which five pure saints are needed, in this way five saints went with them.

After moving forward, one saint became priest at a temple and some saints became Master in a hermitage. See on sight, only three saints remained.

Entering in Kerala when they reached in first village, a small child came and told sadly- My father has not returned back from town yet, I’m alone at home due to which I’m very scared.
By listening this, one saint stopped to care of the child.

Now only two saints were left. When they arrived near Monastery, one man challenged them to debate. Among them, one accepted the challenge. Although, second saint said to first saint to avoid debate because debate would take much time, but first saint didn’t listened.

Now at last, only one saint reached Monastery, who was declared as an Abbacy of Monastery.

Dear friends, Success doesn’t come by telling. Moving on the path to success there will be many situations which will deviate from our path. In those deviatory situations we have to keep patience and have to focus on our aim. Thank You.
