Once in a village, there lived a farmer. He daily, early in the morning
went to bring water from the well. After reaching near well, he filled two
buckets of water and then after tying them on one stick; put it on his shoulder
and came back.
From those two buckets one was cracked; while reaching
home the water in the bucket having hole remained half due to which he had to go
two times to bring water.
On the way, whosoever saw farmer by taking water in
that cracked bucket, they advised either to repair the bucket or to take a new
bucket; but farmer always put off by telling- I have done much practice to
close the hole of the bucket but remained unsuccessful and what to do by
bringing a new bucket when work is going through it.
Slowly-slowly, people started making fun of his
cracked bucket but he didn’t take attention on their talks.
One morning, farmer’s wife saw that the villagers were
making fun of farmer’s cracked bucket. When farmer came home, she got tensed
and explained- You shouldn’t use this cracked bucket, people make fun of yours
and then you also have to go two times to take water. Useless hard work and to be
made fun by others isn’t good thing.
Seeing her tension, farmer told- I purposely use
cracked bucket.
Wife confusedly asked- why it is?
Farmer explained- Do you notice! The colourful flowers
have grown on the way to our home are only through this cracked bucket. I
know that the bucket has drawback of having hole but instead of noticing its
weakness I thought of profiting from it. I sowed the seeds of colourful flowers
on both side of the way. First time, while bringing water I put bucket on my
left shoulder and second time on right shoulder. In this way, the water from
the hole of bucket sparge those flowers and make the way so beautiful. You only
tell! If I had also left this cracked bucket as people said; then beautiful
flowers wouldn’t have grown up on the way. However, hard work is little more
but the result we have is very beautiful and the correct utilisation of cracked
bucket has also been done.
Listening to the farmer, his wife’s confusion went off
and she obliged him for his hard work.
Dear friends, Necessarily we all have some weakness
inside us. Instead of getting disappointed from those weaknesses we should
recognise them; utilize our talent in right way then only we’ll achieve success
